When translating the homepage it blocked at the Italian language, it seems to be in some kind of looping never ending and now my site is not working anymore
Thank you for contacting WPML support. While you are waiting for one of my colleagues to take this ticket and work on it, let me provide you with first debugging steps or if I can perhaps help with the issue quickly.
Please go to WPML -> Translation Management -> Jobs. What is the status of this page theere? If it is stuck as In Progress, you should be able to cancel the in progress job from ohere.
If it is not showing as in progress, please make a full backup and then try these steps.
1. Edit the default page. Make any small change and update the page.
2. Go to WPML -> Translation Management and send this page to the translation basket. Tick the checkbox, scroll down and click translate, then you will see the translation basket tab.
3. Click the translation basket and send the page to yourself as a translator.
4. Go to WPML -> Translations and take and translate the page. Save the translation 100% and then let's see if the correct content shows.
After these steps, does it still show the gear icon, or does it show something else?
