HI we have had a problem with automatic translation that the html with character were translated with wrong html. Therefore we have to edit by hand a lot of words. do you have an idea for this issue . Thanks
After discussing this issue with my 2nd tier support, we see that it comes from the translation engine and there isn't a thing we can improve from our side. I see you are using DeepL to translate content, so I suggest you use another translation engine like Google/Microsoft to avoid this issue.
Thank you for your replay. Using another engine is not an option as our processes are optimized for DeepL. We tested the same translations on the official website from deepL and everything works fine there. The problem comes with the attempt to format the ® with html - after it was translated correctly. And the html formatting is a step from WPML. We think it is a formating problem on the side of WPML and not a translation problem.
We would kindly ask you and your team to check once more as we are using the sup-tag quite often and would be a major problem to fix them manually.
Actually, what you see in the Advanced Translation Editor is the response from the translation engine. When you use automatic translation, WPML sends the content from your site to the translation engine (Google, DeepL, Microsoft - a third-party service) and shows the translated content in ATE. I've reported this issue to our 2nd tier support and we realized that we can't do much about this case.
However, I see it is not related to the main issue of this ticket with HTML tags in the content so I will split this ticket into a new one for the issue with Glossary.
Thanks.
