This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
If you're trying to automatically translate content on your site using WPML and find yourself redirected to add credits despite already having them set, this might be due to an issue with the automatic translation account ID.
Solution:
We recommend checking if your WPML installation or any recent changes might have created a new automatic translation account ID, causing your credits to be associated with a previous ID. Here’s what you can do step-by-step:
1. Visit your WPML account page at https://wpml.org/account and use the "add/remove credits" option to move your credits back to your WPML.org account.
2. Then, navigate to https://wpml.org/account/sites/, remove the current site key, and generate a new one.
3. Go to your website's backend, under Plugins > Add new > Commercial, unregister WPML using the old key and re-register it using the new key.
4. Finally, re-add the credits to your site by following the steps outlined here: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/how-to-assign-automatic-translation-credits-to-your-sites/.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
