This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

When logged off Greek flag is not showing for the above pages. When logged in, the Greek flag shows at the header on those two pages.
Also, the parent page's grid view does not show those two Greek pages. The same applies either logged in or off.

Solution:

I checked the two mentioned pages; they were drafts, so I published them.

Please note that when using the "Yoast Duplicate Page" plugin, the cloned pages will be drafts in both languages, and you need to publish them separately.

I am trying to: Set some pages in Greek. Default language is English.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

I expected to see: The equivalent in Greek, if flag appears and in parent page grid.

Instead, I got: When logged off Greek flag not showing for the above pages. When logged in the Greek flag is showing at header when in those two pages.
Also, grid view at parent page not showing those two Greek pages. The same applies eather logged in or off.

Can someone assist?

Hi,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

1) Please check the translated page and make sure that it's published, not a draft.

2) It's unrelated to the issue, but according to your Debug.info, the WP memory limit needs to be increased. PHP memory is fine, but WordPress uses 40Mb as default. The minimum requirements for WPML are 128 MB. (Kindly check this page https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/)

You can increase it by adding the following code in your wp-config.php file right before the /* That's all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */ line:

/* Memory Limit */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');

Best regards,
Osama

1) pages are published. This was the first thing we've checked.
2) memory is increased.
I need someone to check and resolve the issue. Can you login to the site?

Hi,

I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –
in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

Your next answer will be private, which means only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,

Thanks for the access details. I checked the two mentioned pages; they were drafts, so I published them.

Please check them and let me know if they work correctly.

Also, Please check the Greek draft pages and publish them if you face the same issue. (hidden link)

Best regards,
Osama

Osama both pages where published. For example, you can see the attached screenshot for page "Hanioti Eternal Blue Apartment". You will find out that it was published on 2023/05/17 at 1:29 pm. It doesn't have the "Draft" notice at the right of the title.
How come when you logged in it was shown as draft? All ather Administrators have seen this as Published. Could this be some WoerdPress user issue?
Our customer uses Yoast Copy plugin to make clone of a page before editing and publish. Could this procedure triggers some other problem and although a page is show as published to certain user the page actualy remains as Draft?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure why you didn't see them as drafts, but when I edited the Greek pages, the update button said "Publish", not "Update", and the pages could be seen on the drafts page.

Please note that when using the "Yoast Duplicate Page" plugin, the cloned pages will be drafts in both languages, and you need to publish them separately.

Best regards,
Osama
