Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate all the string translations for the different text fields in the Barn2 Product Option plugin. They all work great as translated on the front end, but not the VISUAL EDITOR text field. Translated correctly at the back end but on the front end just the original language (English) is published. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

Symptoms:
The text from the VISUAL EDITOR is displayed in English on the front end instead of French or German.

Questions:
Why is the VISUAL EDITOR text field not displaying the translated text on the front end?
How can I ensure the VISUAL EDITOR text field is translated correctly on the front end?

Had a chat with technitian at Barn2 last week and they say you supoport 100% translation of all their plugins. They therefore asked us to open a ticket with yourself.

Hello,

Indeed, we have a partnership with Barn2 and they provided us with access to their plugins for testing.

I have created a test site with WPML, WooCommerce and WooCommerce Product Options.

Now, I have set up a group with a Visual Editor field and I am trying to create a product, but the field is not showing up on the WordPress-Editor.

Could you please give this a test and try to recreate the issue here?

Hi,

Tried to replicate the issue on your Sandbox page. But unfortunately I do not see the WPML entry on the left hand side menu. I do however see WPML is installed among the plugins. Where do I go to make the String Translation in your Sandbox setup when I do not see the WPML entry in the left hand bar please?

You just need to activate the plugins. I had disabled them to revise if the issue that I am experiencing here is WPML-related.

As you can see I already created product options, but they are not showing up when creating a product.

The Product Options addon is registered.

Hi,

But the problem is not primarely the text entered in the visual editor of the Barn2 plugin. The text from the Product Option plugin is visible at the correct location at our site and in the original language. The problem is on our TRANSLATED pages. There wu expect the text to show in the new language but htey show only in the original language.

For example. The text from the visual editor is correct at an ENGLISH page.

The same text is expected to be in FRENCH or GERMAN at the french and german pages but the text from the visual editor is still in ENGLISH at the French and German pages. All other text fields are showing correctly at the respective language pages. The issue is just from the visual editors text fierd that does not get translated. So to be able to replicate the problem at your Sandbox page we really do need the WPML plugin so you can see if the text will be translated or not at the "non english" pages.

Furthermore: Now I activated the WPML-plugins. Unfortunately the text entered in the visual editor does not even show up in the String Translatin on your Sandbox page. This is however not the case at our live page. Please activate the translation functionalities at the Sandbox page and I will try to replicate the problem.

WPML is set up on the sandbox already. I just deactivated it earlier to show you that there is a issue displaying the product options even if WPML is disabled.

In this case you would not use WPML String Translation to translate the strings.

Custom fields that are part of pages, posts or custom posts like products will need to get translated with the WPML Translation Editor when translating the content.

The issue I am still facing on my test site, is that the product options that I have created are not appearing on the WordPress Editor when trying to create or edit a product.

On your site, please try to create a new product options group for testing and let me know if it is available when creating or editing a product. If not, then there seems to be an issue on the side of "WooCommerce Product Options".
