Hi,
Translations of variation taxonomies in Woocommerce keep getting mixed up. Fixed by Sychronising variation taxonomies in the troubleshooting page, but the issu keeps coming back.

Hello there,

Thank you for contacting WPML support. I'd be happy to assist you on this issue.

So every time variation taxonomy is changed or updated, the issue exists? or it's happening randomly?

Further, We've recently rolled out a new version of WPML plugins. Could you please update your plugins to the latest version and inform me if it resolves the issue?

Our WPML updates are distributed gradually. If your websites haven't received this update yet, please be patient, and you should see it within a few days.

If you want to expedite the process and receive the update immediately, follow these steps:
1. Go to the Plugins → Add New page.
2. Click on the Commercial tab.
3. Then, click the "Check for updates" button.

Please remember to create a backup before updating, as a precaution.

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks

It's hard to pinpoint what causes it. Sometimes I feel like it's when I make changes to the products, but sometimes it seems happen randomly. I have updated WPML, but will have to wait to find out if anything has changed.

Hello 🙂

Thanks for the feedback.

Addressing the problem will prove challenging without a reliable method of reproducing it, and I hope you understand this.

So I will suggest you to keep monitoring the site and note the changes you mentioned so we can catch the issue.

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks

Hello again,
It just happened a few minutes ago, as I was updating product variations. I updated two products and when I looked at the site the variation taxonomies on my secondary language were wrong and I had to to Troubleshooting > Synchronize POst Taxonomies (for variations) to fix it.

Hello there,

Have you tried disabling all WPML plugins that are not related, switching to one of the default themes, and checking whether the issue persists or not?

Please remember to create a backup of your site (both files and the database) before making any updates or changes. This is always a good practice.

Also, can you update me here without running the synchronization tool once?

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks
