This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where WPML cannot connect to the translation editor, despite increasing the WP memory limit to 128MB.
Solution:
1. Navigate to WPML -> Support -> Advanced Translation Editor -> Error Logs and check for any error messages.
2. Increase the WP memory limit to 124M as it is currently set to 40M, which is below the recommended value.
3. Go to Users > Profile in your WordPress Dashboard.
4. In the Name section, ensure that a name is selected in the "Display name publicly as" dropdown. This field must not be left blank.
5. Save the changes and clear the cache from both your site and browser.
6. Try adding the translation again. The editor should now load without any issues.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Hello,

Thank you for contacting WPML support. Before your ticket is assigned to a supporter, I’d like to offer some initial steps that might help resolve your issue.

Could you please navigate to WPML -> Support -> Advanced Translation Editor -> Error Logs, and share a screenshot of that page?

Additionally, I noticed that your WP memory limit is set to 40M, while the recommended value is 124M. I suggest increasing the memory limit to see if it resolves the issue.

Thank you

Hello 🙂
I have already set WP memory to 128mb, but has not helped. You also get a screenshot of the log here.

Hi There!
I hope you're doing well!

Thank you for sharing the screenshot from the Error Log page. There is an error message pointing to an issue with the API response, specifically an "unprocessable entity" error. This occurs because the `display_name` field, which is a required field, is either missing or has been left empty in the data sent to the API. Please try the following steps and check if they helps in solving the issue.

- Navigate to "Users > Profile" from your WordPress Dashboard.
- Scroll down to the Name section and make sure a name is selected in the "Display name publicly as" dropdown. This field must not be left blank. You can refer to this screenshot for guidance: hidden link.
- Save the changes and clear the cache from both your site and browser.
- Once done, try adding the translation again. The editor should now load without any issues.

Please give it a try and let me know how it goes. I'll be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
