WPML string translation slows down site considerably

gerwinV-2	Hello, see attached printscreen. My wordpress backend is very slow and when I check Query Monitor, I see WPML all over the place. How do I fix this? My memory limit is already 512M Also, sitepress-multilingual-cms is causing big delays. See 2nd printscreen.

I will do my best to help you. 1- Please make sure ender the String translation menu you don't have the box "check string will page being rendered" is not activated otherwise that might be the reason (image) 2- Can you please do the basic troubleshooting steps under WPML > Support > Troubleshooting link. * Clear the Cache in WPML * Remove ghost entries from the translation tables * Fix element_type collation * Fix WPML table collation * Cleanup and optimize string tables => Documentation here: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-troubleshooting-options/
