Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate a page using WPML. I encountered an issue where the message 'Translation in progress - wait before editing' appears repeatedly. I attempted to complete the translation and cancel the job inside 'Jobs', but it cannot be cancelled. I have already gone to the troubleshooting menu, cleared the cache, and cancelled the in-progress jobs, but nothing helped. I also took a screen cast of it. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link
Please provide a way to upload my video as confidential.

Symptoms:
The message 'Translation in progress - wait before editing' appears repeatedly, and I am unable to cancel the job inside 'Jobs'.

Questions:
Why does the message 'Translation in progress - wait before editing' keep appearing?
How can I cancel the job inside 'Jobs' when it cannot be cancelled?

Here is the ticket, let me know if something like this worked:

<IfModule mod_headers.c>
    Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "<em><u>hidden link</u></em>"
    Header set Access-Control-Allow-Methods "GET, POST, OPTIONS"
    Header set Access-Control-Allow-Headers "Content-Type, Authorization"
</IfModule>

Hi!

This did not resolve the issue. Somehow it worked once - it seems after a server-restart - but after adding some further definition inside Settings > Custom XML Definition and trying to adapt the page again, the same problem appeared. From my point of view this is related to the plugin, not the server.

Please help. Thanks!

Regards,
Stephan

I get "Der Benutzername wpml ist auf dieser Website nicht registriert", can you register it again so I could check again?

Just reactivated the user.

I tried a lot and figured out, that after deactivating "Advanced Translation Editor" the error does not occur anymore.

It is because Classic Translation Editor is not external service, while Advanced Translation Editor is.

Can you send me some other page which uses Advanced Translation Editor and the issue is still here?

As I see that hidden link uses CTE.
