Dear WPML Support Team,

I am reaching out to you regarding the implementation of the WPML plugin on our legal translation website, hidden link

I am currently working on an extensive SEO for all the pages of our website, utilizing the Rank Math plugin for backend SEO optimization. To enhance the reach and effectiveness of our SEO efforts, I am interested in translating each service page into a different language. For example, I want Italian language page to be translated into Italian, and so on. Additionally, I would like to explore the possibility of translating the home page into 3 or 4 different languages.

Could you please provide guidance on how to achieve this using the WPML plugin? I am particularly interested in ensuring that the translations are not only linguistically accurate but also maintain the integrity of the backend SEO settings managed through Rank Math.

Here are the specific details of our requirements:

Translate each service page into a different language

Implement backend SEO translations using Rank Math

Translate the home page into 3 or 4 different languages

I would appreciate any advice, instructions, or best practices you can offer to help us seamlessly integrate WPML into our existing setup. Additionally, if there are any considerations or potential challenges we should be aware of, please do let us know.

Our website URL is hidden link. If you require any additional information, please feel free to ask.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. We are eager to enhance the multilingual capabilities of our website to maximize its visibility and reach.

Looking forward to your guidance.

Best regards,

Mohamed

Hello Mohamed,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand the requirements you have and will try my best to assist you in this matter.

With the WPML Plugin, you can conveniently translate your posts and pages into various languages. If "Services" is a custom post type, you can enable translations for this post type, which will allow you to translate all posts within that category. Below, I'm providing some resources that will assist you in translating posts created within custom post types, as well as translating pages. These resources offer step-by-step guidance and should be very helpful in your translation process.

Translating Custom Post Type: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-custom-posts/

Translation pages and posts: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/#translating-pages-posts-and-custom-post-types

Now, Since you are using the Rank Math plugin for SEO configuration, it's essential to also install the WPML SEO plugin on your site. This plugin acts as a 'Glue' plugin, enabling you to seamlessly transfer SEO configurations from a default post to its translations. For more detailed information, please refer to the following links:

- https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-seo/

After installing and activating the WPML SEO Plugin, you will gain full control over managing SEO configurations in different languages. When translating a default post, the SEO information you've added, such as the meta title, description, tags, etc., will be available in the translation editor for translation. This way, you can efficiently manage and apply SEO details for other languages as well.

I hope the resources above will help. But, if you need further assistance or clarification, please feel free to let me know. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
