This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The client is unable to see media files on posts where WPML is implemented, although these files are visible in the media library. The issue affects media items not being visible in the Hindi language version of the site.

Solution:

We recommend the following steps to ensure media files are properly synchronized across all languages:

1) Ensure a full site backup is in place.
2) Navigate to WPML>>Settings>>Media Translation.
3) Set the following options and save the changes:

- How to handle media for new content:

>> When uploading media to the Media library, make it available in all languages
>> Duplicate media attachments for translations
>> Duplicate featured images for translations

- How to handle media library texts:

>> Translate media library texts with posts

4) Refresh the page.
5) Click on the Start blue button to synchronize the media items to all languages.
6) Wait until the process is completed.

Additionally, check if the latest media files are showing by visiting https://www.cheggindia.com/wp-admin/upload.php and switching to Hindi via the Dashboard Language Switcher.

If the problem persists or if these steps are not applicable to your current WPML setup, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. We are unable to see the media files on the posts where WPML is implemented. The same files are visible in our media library but don't show/return not found when trying to update on a blog page.

Attaching screenshots of the same issue. Please request your team to check and suggest a fix for this as well.

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve the issue.

You have 50,000 + images in English, but in Hindi, the total count is 40,000 +. So those images have not been duplicated to Hindi yet.

As per your current settings, the new media items will not be copied to other languages.

So please try the following steps after a full site backup and make sure you are getting the expected results or not.

1) Visit WPML>>Settings>>Media Translation
2) Select the following options and save the changes
- How to handle media for new content:
>> When uploading media to the Media library, make it available in all languages
>> Duplicate media attachments for translations
>> Duplicate featured images for translations
- How to handle media library texts:
>> Translate media library texts with posts
3) Refresh the page
4) Click on the *Start* blue button to Sync the media items to all languages
5) Wait until the process completed

Hi Bigul,

We are able to see media items uploaded till 21st January 2025.

We have not made any changes to the settings post time timeline.

Also, we are not translating any posts (the one's you see in Hindi are already published in that language), just adding a default language to "Hi" (Hindi) language posts.

Why has this issue started to occur now?

Thank you for the updates. We hope you have uploaded the media files from Media>>Library.

Please visit hidden link and switch to Hindi via the Dashboard Language Switcher (of the top header). Then make sure the latest media files are showing or not.

Are you able to reproduce the issue in the staging site also? If so, please let us know the exact steps to replicate.
