Background of the issue:
I wanted to edit my WooCommerce prices. In a staging environment, I deactivated all plugins, and WPML String Translation seems to be causing the issue.

Symptoms:
There is a problem with the quick edit function in WooCommerce as well as with the price separator in the variable products. For example, if I type in 49,95€, the price will be shown as 4995,00 €. The quick editing function doesn't work at all.

Questions:
Why is WPML String Translation affecting WooCommerce pricing?
How can I fix the price separator issue in variable products?

Please test one more thing for me because I think this resolved it on the test site. Once the default language is not English, go to WPML -> String Translation and search for your separator. Find the "admin_texts_woocommerce_price_thousand_sep" for "woocommerce_price_thousand_sep" and make sure it is assigned correctly. Mine was set to English. I clicked the checkbox next to the string and scrolled to the bottom of the table to click "Change language of selected strings" and set this to Spanish. I then edited the English translation to add a , as the thousand separator translation.

Next, I went back to the product and quick edit and now when I quick edit Simple PRoduct 2 with the price as 12,34 it remains as 12,34. I also updated the English price for Simple Product and it remains as 49,95.

Please let me know if you have the same results. If so, make sure your language assignment is correct in string translation table and that the translation for the separator is correct.

I tried it.

Now I have the WooCommerce settings as followed in the picture and also the core language of the settings are assigned correctly. But the issue still exists.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.

- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Hi again,

I tested some things.
1. I discovered that I cannot make any changes to the thousand separator in the WooCommerce settings.
2. When the WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency is deactivated, I can make changes to the thousand separator and when I activate it again, the thousand separator is gone.
3. I tried editing the prices when the WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency is deactivated but the String Translation is activated, but the problem still exists.

I think it's likely there is something conflicting with the product prices on your site. You mentioned earlier that you had tested on your site with just WooCommerce and WPML - do you have a staging environment set up where I can continue troubleshooting in minimal settings? If not, you can use something like WP Staging to create one, or I can set one up for you and migrate a copy of your site there. Just let me know which you prefer, and if you already have one or you set one oup with WP Staging, you can include credentials in the private fields of your next reply.

As work is currently underway on the production site to enhance speed performance, we kindly request that you provide a log file or similar documentation. This will ensure that we need to implement only your specified changes directly on the production site.
