[Resolved] 1 translations left in the queue forever
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was facing issues with a page not translating properly and taking a long time to complete the translation. Additionally, some listing posts using the Toolset plugin were not being translated, and there was uncertainty about the translation of meta descriptions and keywords.
Solution: We discovered that the translation issues were due to excessive metadata embedded within the text and headings of the page, likely originating from Figma. To resolve this, we recommend: 1. Switch to Text mode while editing the widget. 2. Remove all the embedded metadata from the text. 3. Switch back to normal mode and reinsert the content without any metadata. 4. Repeat this process for all text modules on the page. 5. Save the changes and attempt to translate the page again.
This should resolve the translation issues. If you're still experiencing problems or if this solution does not apply to your case, please check the related known issues, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If issues persist, we highly recommend opening a new support ticket for further assistance at WPML support forum.

Hi, one of my pages got resisting not being translated 🙂
The following page is taking forever to finish the translation and I have no idea why it is doing this.

I also use the Toolset plugin but some of the listing posts are not being translated as well. I couldn't find where to automatically translate them. I share an example page below.

How can I also be sure that all meta descriptions and keywords are translated?
Before proceeding further, may I ask you to try the following please?
- Take full backup of your site and database first.
- Fix “WP Memory Limit” to at least 128MB while 256MB is recommended. See https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/ for detailed information. You can set this in your wp-config.php file by adding following code:
Hi Waqas, I tried all the solutions you suggested but it didn't work for this page. More importantly, after using WPML, the speed performance of the website went drastically down. Is this a normal situation?
I need to take a closer look at your site. So I request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP), preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your next answer will be private, to share this information safely.
Also provide detailed steps to reproduce the issue and links to pages having problems in admin and on frontend.
IMPORTANT: Please take a complete backup of the site to avoid data loss. I may need to activate/deactivate plugins also.
P.S.:The speed performance is a separate issue and there can be several other reasons. I recommend opening a separate ticket because as per forum policy we can only handle one issue per ticket. So you can get more to the point help, without mixing up several issues in one long ticket.
Thank you very much Waqas! Looking forward to hearing back from you. I created one more ticket regarding my other issues but I am not so sure if the team has received that ticket or not.
I tried several things and finally was able to find the issue. No matter what I did (deactivated plugins, updated theme and etc), the translation job for the said page "Relocation Services" (hidden link) was always failing.
So after detailed observation in the original translation request (.xliff) sent to our servers, I found that the text and headings within the page were containing a lot of metadata.
This data is coming from (as it looks like) from a Figma, i.e. see attached, while it shouldn't be there. This is what's breaking the translation process.
In the attached screenshots, I've shown that for one text I cleared it, by simply removing everything in that text (by switching to Text mode while editing that widget), then switching back to normal mode, inserting the content again while making sure there's no extra meta data inserted.
There's lot of content on this page which contains this malfunctioned meta data. Please edit all of the text modules, clean up, save and translate the page again - everything should be fine.
Thank you very much Waqar! Only this page was created by someone else who is not familiar with WP and I would never think that someone will get entire meta data from Figma 🙂
And I am also in the learning curve of WPML with your amazing support!
