I am trying to:
After shifting to RankMath, I deleted Yoast plugin & all its related remaining database entries, but all the event translations keep on showing Yoast in their translation in Custom Fields:

field-_yoast_wpseo_title
field-_yoast_wpseo_metadesc
field-_yoast_wpseo_focuskw

Also, WPM seems not proposing the translation for the RankMath instead !?!

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

I expected to see:

For sure no more Yoast-related translations, but new Rankmath related instead

Instead, I got:
I still can see Yoast data, even it has been deleted from plugin and database.

Hi,

before your ticket is assigned to one of my colleagues, please allow me to walk you through some initial debugging steps. This will help speed up the support process.

The Yoast fields are still present in your database, even if you remove Yoast: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/split-how-can-i-remove-old-unused-custom-fields/.

Therefore, WPML offers you these custom fields to translate. You can remove the fields as described here: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/delete-used-fields/. Please create a backup before removing them.

Also, WPM seems not proposing the translation for the RankMath instead !?!

Do you mean it'S not viewable in the Frontend? Did you finish the translation with 100%

Best Regards
Marcel

Thanks for replying. Do you mean I should install the "hidden link" plugin to remove the fields from the database which are leftovers after deleting plugin?
in the article: ..."Solution: please check this plugin: hidden link I haven;t tested this (so please make a DB backup before running it) but it seems to remove fields from database which are leftovers after removing some field interface in ACF."..
But the link on the article seems not working and I cannot find such a plugin name in WordPress !?!?

Also, yes I finished the translation with 100%, but I cannot see any fields related for RankmAth !?!
Please help,

thanks,
Sylvain

Hi Sylvain,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.

Could you please follow the below steps in deleting those custom fields from the database?

❌ IMPORTANT: Please backup your database and website before proceeding ❌

1. Select the *_postmeta database table using phpMyAdmin or some plugin.
2. Click on the “search” button.
3. Enter the “_yoast_wpseo_title” in the “meta_key” field and the "operator" should be Like % … % and press submit button as you can see in the attached screenshot.
4. Delete all fields.
5. Please follow the same steps for all other fields one by one.

If after deleting those fields from the database, it still showing in WPML Translation Editor then please follow the below steps:

1. Please open the default language page in Edit mode.
2. Make a small change, for example, add a space or + sign in your page/post title.
3. Update the page by pressing the “Update” button.
4. Now, please remove that small change that did in step #2.
5. Update the page again.
6. Now, please try to open the translated page in WPML Translation Editor and see if those fields are still there or not.

Please read more on this ticket https://wpml.org/forums/topic/delete-used-fields/
Or you can use a third-party plugin to delete the post meta https://wordpress.org/plugins/bulk-delete/

We can handle one issue per ticket only so if you have another issue with Rankmath, please create a new ticket for this. I can help you to split this ticket into a new one and we can discuss the issue there.

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks
