Problem:
You want to prevent certain menu items from being translated in WPML, such as 'i-tips'.
Solution:
We recommend creating custom menus manually to have full control over which items get translated and which do not. You can find detailed instructions on how to do this by visiting our documentation on Translating Menus.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, please check our known issues page and confirm that you have the latest versions of themes and plugins installed. If you still need assistance, we highly recommend opening a new support ticket in our support forum.

Hi there.

The menu-sync functionality won't allow you to have full control.

If you want to have full control, you will have to use this method presented here:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/#fully-custom-create-menus-manually
