Hi,

My website migrated to a new server, but the domain is the same. Now, WPML asks me if the site was moved (new URL), or copied (WPML will treat it as a new site): https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/using-advanced-translation-editor-when-you-move-or-use-a-copy-of-your-site/.

Neither is the case, right? The URL is the same, nor is it a new site. Will this question disappear eventually or must I answer it?

Thanks,
Arno

Hi Arno,
Thanks for contacting WPML support.

This means that WPML detected a change in the site's URL, probably while pointing the domain to the new server.

If this is your production site, please select "I moved the site to this new URL".

Regards,
Mohamed

Hi Mohamed,

Thank you. It probably noticed the temporary URL after the initial move. Later, DNS was changed and the site was back on the exact same URL again, so I expected the message to go away. Well, I selected the option you recommended and will assume it's all fine now 🙂

Hi Arno,

Yes, I think this is due to the temporary URL but everything should be ok now.

Please feel free to contact us again if you have any further questions or issues, we will be always happy to help.

Regards,
Mohamed
