I am trying to: Translate the footer of my website, made in Divi Theme Builder in a global footer.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: All pages in tausch.com (see footer)

I expected to see: A translation of the items in the footer and in the 'Plan een kennismaking' button and popup.

Instead, I got: Just the regular Dutch version

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML support. While you are waiting for one of my colleagues to take this ticket and work on it, let me provide you with the first debugging steps and try to help with the issue quickly.

Can you make sure you are translating the global footer as explained in our docs and via WPML > Translation Management?

Let us know.

Regards,
Drazen

Hi Drazen, thanks for your reaction. I translated the Global Footer through the WPML > Translation Management, so that should be ok. I'm guessing the issue is mainly an error in the string translation, when switching to another language.

I managed to resolve the issue, but string translation is often the reason of failure. Translated strings are regularly overwritten by self-generated content by WPML.
