Tell us what you are trying to do?

I tried using the automatic translation to translate my page from german to english. My FAQ-page which uses an html code with javascript , implemented with elementor pro, had some problems. The text was translated correctly but for some reason the rest of the code didn't work. There are differnet tabs with accordions you can switch between, but I couldn't click the tabs and the content wasn't shown. So I rewrote the code in English and uploaded it to the english site using elementor. When I left work yesterday everything was working fine. The german page had the german code and the english one the english one. But when I checked it today I saw that the german version now is also in english. So the code was just overwritten, which is really annoying. Is there a way to reverse that and how is this supposed to work correctly? Because just using the translator itself somhow crashed the code and made it unusable. And creating a separate code for the english version also does not work, because it overwrites the original one. I hope you can help me fix this issue.

Is there any documentation that you are following?

No.

Is there a similar example that we can see?

hidden link You can switch between the languages. You will see there is a differnece between english and germn for some reason but both are in englush.

What is the link to your site?

Hi,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

Using Elementor and the translation editor to translate the same page could be the cause of the issue.

Please try to deactivate the translation editor for this page, add the codes using Elementor, and check if that would fix the issue.

Kindly check our guide to know more about translating content manually. (https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/)

Best regards,
