[Resolved] Translation stops at 94% but al texts have been translated
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are trying to translate a toggle made with Divi using WPML, but the translation process stops at 94% despite all translations appearing to be completed. Additionally, you are experiencing issues with the WPML String Translation plugin not showing available updates on your dashboard. Solution: 1. To address the translation issue: - Open the Translation Editor. - Go to the top right corner of the Translation Editor. - Click the gear icon and enable the option "Use the previous version of the Advanced Translation Editor." - Check for any segments that are in progress, complete the translation, and save them.
2. Regarding the WPML String Translation plugin update: - Visit the "Plugins > Add New > Commercial" tab to check if you can download or update the String Translation plugin directly from there. - Alternatively, log in to your WPML.org account, download the latest version of String Translation, and try reinstalling it on the site.
If these steps do not resolve your issues or if the solution seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If further assistance is needed, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate a toggle made with Divi using WPML. The translation process stops at 94%, even though all translations appear to be completed (indicated by blue everywhere, no orange).
Symptoms:
The translation process halts at 94% completion despite all texts being translated.
Questions:
Is this a known issue? If so, I can give you access to the website
Hi, further info. I get feedback that the WPML String Translation plugin is not up to date. However, no update for this plugin shows in the dashboard of this website.
I am encountering the same issue (update of String translation plugin not available) on several of my registered websites.
also on: hidden link hidden link
and probably all the others as well.
I understand the issue you’re facing. It seems there might be some hidden content in the Translation Editor, which could be why the translation progress is stuck at 94%. Could you try switching to the previous editor to check if the missing content is visible and can be translated?
- Open the Translation editor.
– Go to the top right corner of the translation editor
– Click the gear icon
– Enable the option “Use the previous version of the Advanced Translation Editor.”
- Check if there is any segment that is in progress. If you find that, complete the translation and save them.
Please let me know how it goes. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.
From the WPML Debug Info, I noticed that the latest version of String Translation is already active on your site, so no update is needed. If you’re experiencing issues on another site, the file you’re trying to upload may be corrupted.
To resolve this:
1. Go to "Plugins > Add New > Commercial" tab and check if you can download or update the String Translation plugin directly from there.
2. You can also log in to your "WPML.org" account, download the latest version of String Translation, and try reinstalling it on the site.
Go back to the previous version did solve my problem. It was the link to the contact page that was not visible in the new version and therefore was not saved.
However, can you explain - see enclosed image - why all my sites are noted for not being up to date while in reality (I did check 2 off them new.dutchforchilren.nl and burorader.com, all updates have been done?
Thank you for confirming that reverting to the previous version of the editor solved your issue. I’m glad to hear the contact page link is now visible and saved correctly.
The "not up to date" status for your sites, even though updates have been completed, could be due to cached data or a delay in synchronization between your site and the update check mechanism. From the screenshot, I can confirm that the plugins are updated to their latest versions. If the WPML.org registered sites section still shows the plugin as not updated, don’t worry—it should update automatically after some time.
For now, you can continue working on the site with the latest version of the plugins.
Feel free to let me know if you have any other queries or need clarification. I'll be happy to help.
