Tell us what you are trying to do? I currently have Spanish translations of products entered via the wordpress editor. I have an ACF repeater on each product that runs the Options you can see here: hidden link It would take forever to enter the translations for each product option on every product. How do I auto translate only this section? Is there a similar example that we can see? I am also not sure why it is showing as locked in that backend image. It says it is copying over from English but in settings it is set as translatable and not to copy from English. What is the link to your site? |

Hi, Thank you for your feedback. Please go to ACF > Edit the field group > Edit the field > Set the field preference to Translate > Save changes. If it does not help, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated. When I go to ACF > Edit field group "Product Options" > Repeater field > Field "Option Headline" and "Option Description", I see the field preference is set to "Copy". Please check this screenshot hidden link Then I set the field preference to "Translate" and save changes. Now you can edit two fields in the English language as well. Hello, as you can see in your second screenshot now the product options are showing in Spanish on the English products. They should show in English for the English products and Spanish on the Spanish version of the products. |

Hi, Thank you for your feedback. The original language of that product on the staging site is Spanish and the translation language is English. Before I change the preference, the field value is copied from Spanish to English. Now you can translate the field by adding value manually in the English language. Okay that must be old version of the site because on our live site it is being copied from English to Spanish version of product. Can you request private login details for our dev site which has been duplicated from production more recently? |

Hi, Thank you for your feedback. On the new staging site, I see the field preference of two fields "Option Headline" and "Option Description" is "Copy". Please check this screenshot hidden link I switch it to "Translate" and now you can see the field value when editing the product FP60 in Spanish can be editable, please check this screenshot hidden link Automatic translation on this staging site is not enabled to work but on your live site, after changing the field preference, you can make a small change to the product title/content to translate the field value. Sorry I am confused by your last statement. How do I make them all automatically change to Spanish now? There are 359 products so they need to be done in bulk. |

I am getting this error despite having the default translation engines. When I did the small changed and then saved it just sites like this and doesn't translate the options on the spanish product. I tested it with "FP60" |

Hi, Thank you for your feedback. It looks like the language mapping is not set up correctly on your live site. Please go to WPML > Languages > Site languages > Edit languages > Map the Spanish (Mexico) to Spanish > Save changes and send the content to translation from Translation Management again. Regarding the update process of the custom field, please keep a browser tab available until the process finished then you can send the content to translation. Making a small change here is to adjust the product content, not adjust the settings in a field group. Look forward to your reply. |
