Hey there,
I've deleted a language, like in this example: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-completely-remove-a-language-from-your-site/
But somehow traces from the old translation are still there. When I try to save the new category slugs, they all receive the language code as an appendix when saving, because I used the same slug for the old language.
Any way to completely remove the traces of the old language so I can use the same slugs again?
Thanks!

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us

I understand that you deleted a language and then added a new one with the same slug. If this is correct, then the suffix added to the categories with the new (same as new) slug is added is the expected behavior.

If I misunderstood the issue, then I kindly ask you to provide more information so I can have a better understanding.

Regards,
Carlos
