Redirections to language translations don't work

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was experiencing an issue where clicking on the Japanese language link in the footer redirected to an incorrect URL, showing the homepage instead of the Japanese translation of the page.
Solution:
We suggested that the client should check for any redirect rules that might be causing the issue. The steps included:
1. Go to "Tools > Redirection" in the WordPress dashboard.
2. Look for any rules that might redirect the Japanese version of a page to a different URL and remove them.
3. Clear the site caches, Server/Hosting Panel caches, and browser caches.
4. If the site is hosted on Pantheon, check the Pantheon Hosting Dashboard for any direct redirection configurations and remove them if present.
The client resolved the issue by identifying that the 'LH HSTS' plugin was causing the redirects and removed it from their stack.

I'm clicking on the Japanese language link in the footer of this page: hidden link It tries to take me to this page: hidden link But that ends up redirecting here: hidden link And this shows the homepage, which is not what we want. Any idea how to fix this so that I can see the Japanese translation of the page?

Given that you're using the "Redirection" plugin on your site, I recommend navigating to "Tools > Redirection" within your WordPress dashboard and reviewing any existing redirect rules. If you find any rules that redirect the Japanese version of a page to a different URL, please remove those rules. Following that, it's essential to clear the caches from your site, your Server/Hosting Panel, and your browser and check again. christopherA-19	Thanks for the help. It turns out it was this plugin we were running that was causing the strange redirects: https://wordpress.org/plugins/lh-hsts/ I've been able to remove it from our stack and now things are operating correctly. Thanks again.
