[Waiting for user confirmation] Shows wrong translation

Background of the issue:
I translated a page using WPML. I am experiencing issues with the translation process. The translation seems incomplete as indicated by the gear icon, even though I clicked 'complete'. The issue is visible on this page: hidden link
Symptoms:
The translation appears incomplete with the gear icon still showing. In the front end, I can select German, but the text displayed is completely different from what was expected.
Questions:
Why does the gear icon still show even after clicking 'complete'?
Why is the text in German different from what was expected?

I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
