Transferring Account Renewals to my Client. I payed for renewal for my clients on my credit card on February what would be an annual fee, and was reimbursed by them. When I try to transfer the account to my clients, WPML will charge them immediately now. The client would like to know why they need to pay now if they already payed for the whole year, next payment should be done in February 2024, not June 2022. |

Hello Raya, You paid for the renewal of your account in February like you said. This is a CMS account, which allows you to register up to 3 sites. You can register and unregister sites as much as you like, because this account has developer priviliges. When you transfer the renewal link to one of your clients, you're creating a new account, which will allow your client to receive updates for the site where you installed and registered WPML for them. They will not be able to register WPML on other sites or have other developer priviliges. Instead, they will have an end-user account, which is cheaper and will allow them to receive updates and support for their site exclusively. This account costs 39$/year. We charge users at the very moment the account gets transferred. If your client buys an end user account today, they will get charged 39$ and will have a valid account for a year, their next renewal will be on June 27th, 2024 and will pay 39$ again on this date. At the same time you will keep your developer account with renewals every February, where you will be able to keep building sites with WPML for your clients. Note you will receive a discount on your nest renewal payment (February 2024) after the transfer is made. I hope this explains things. Please confirm. Kind regards |

Thank you for your reply Mercedes. I have only this one client and do not wish to have two payed accounts (one that my clients will pay for and one that I will pay for). In that case I will retain my account and will not transfer it to my clients. How can I change the payment method on my account? |
