I am trying to:
I don't understand why a translated page published one day ends up unpublished the next! And this on 2 different pages on the first day and today on one page. I check the list of pages in French and in English, the synchro of the menus but without validating any change and while I want to make screenshots for WPML support, the page is displayed normally in the 2 languages!

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
The site isn't yet public

I expected to see:
What's special about my site is that I had to use "classic translation editor" before switching back to ATE.

Instead, I got:
My first language is French but for my "contact" page the initial language is English, it's annoying for updates. And this is one of the 2 pages for which I had this concern of non-publication the day after it was published.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

1) Could you please let me know why you need to use the Classic editor before switching to ATE?

2) You can change the page's default language and check if that would fix the issue. In order to change the page's default language, please check the following steps:
1- Edit the translated page
2- Disconnect the translation (https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-disconnect-translations-from-the-default-language-page-or-post/)
3- Update the page
4- Connect the page again and select the default language (https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-link-already-translated-pages/)

Please let me know if the above steps helped you fix the issue.

Best regards,
Osama

1) I use Classic Editor because I had an error "translation not saved" because I don't use italic in the translation (and WPML support told me to do that)

2) I disconnected the translation but I can't reconnect because to select the "language of this page", I have only one choice: english (and I want french)

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. would need to look closely at your site to check this page, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –
in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

Your next answer will be private, which means only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Best regards,
Osama
