Thank you for waiting on this. I just got some information from the 2nd tier:

First... can't access the live domain without Spain VPN. It means the site has some kind of firewall to filter the requests.

Second... can't replicate the issue on local server with the site copy it works fine...

Given that, can you please:

- check if there's any kind of firewall or filtering enabled in server? You may need to check with your service provider.

- and/ provide a staging site by cloning the same setup? If not, is this ok for the 2nd tier to do their testing directly on the site?

Please let me know.

Hi,
OK where to start. The comment about not being able to access and have to use a VPN, you understand that this is not really my problem. I don't know where your developers work from and yes we have multiple levels of firewalls to protect our clients’ assets. This comment was not called for.
Second there is no explanation of what was done to replicate the problem. Since the site is using two different domains, one per language, if you developers didn't test that then his tests are not useful.

For me to do a staging to replicate the problem is a lot of work since two subdomains must be created, the copy of the site on one of the subdomains and then configuring the second language to the second subdomain. This is why I let you work in the live site. Your developer is invited to do the same knowing that this is a live site and that he or she needs to get everything back as it was before the tests. I will do a staging site as a last resort.

If the implication is that my VPS server has a configuration that has any impact on the normal function of WPML using a domain per language then give me the details of the cause so that I can discuss it intelligently with my hosting company.

One final word. The back and forth took some time between us probably because we are not in the same time zone. So now I'm on vacation and I'm answering you on a Sunday morning because I got the message that you were about to close my ticket. So my next answers might take a little more time than usual. Please note it and make sure that my ticket is not closed for inactivity. I will click the blue button when my issue is resolved.

Thank you.

Thank you for waiting on this. Here are some relevant details from the team:

Second there is no explanation of what was done to replicate the problem.

We tried to replicate the issue on a local server with the exact domain and a copy of the site.

We setup two same domains pointing to a local server and there was no problem.
Here's a video recording for the same you can see hidden link

If the implication is that my VPS server has a configuration that has any impact on the normal function of WPML using a domain per language then give me the details of the cause so that I can discuss it intelligently with my hosting company.

This is hard to tell. As we don't know how firewalls are configured. It will be good if we can get any clue from hosting support. They have log of requests and can tell if anything wrong here.

The very important thing to note here. After login to the site when the site is stuck in a redirect loop, If I stop the page loading and manually enter the wp-admin URL in the browser with some query string e.g. hidden link it displays the front-end with 404. Refreshing again shows the wp-admin.

This makes me think the requests are not delivered to sever directly and there are some rules interacting with requests causing this issue.

P.S.: A ticket is closed due to inactivity for some time. There's no way we can mark or keep it open for long. So if it is taking time for you to reply and you receive the email about closing, just drop a simple message to keep it alive, thanks.
