[Resolved] Cannot change admin language

I am using the7 theme in combination with WPML. At this moment I an running into two issues:
1) When, on WP dashboard, selecting a language, the language doesnt change on the WP-admin part. The language switcher on the website works tho.
2) In my the7 theme i use a custom post type named "Services". I followed this manual https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-custom-posts/ to enable translating this custom post type. However, when I change the setting to translatable, the setting doesnt save but instead resets.

Your colleague gave the following response:
Lauren : Thank you for contacting WPML support. I'll be happy to help you with this. The admin language can be changed in your profile settings. Go to Users -> Your Profile and select which language you would like the admin to be in. Each user can change this setting for their own account.
Lauren : As for the custom post type, you should be able to set this to Translatable in WPML -> Settings. If not, try looking at WPML -> Settings -> Custom XML Configuration to make sure the post type is not declared there. Also, check WPML -> Support to make sure your WP Memory is high enough.

Regarding issue 1 I changed the admin language but it still hasnt changed in the WP-admin dashboard, so this particular function does not seem to work.
