This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
Client was having issues loading Elementor, when trying to edit Persian site using WPML and Elementor.

Solution:
We discovered that the problem was due to the translation of the string "page" into Persian, which should not have been translated.

This string is associated with the "admin_texts_elementor_cpt_support" text-domain and is named "[elementor_cpt_support]1".

To resolve this, ensure that this string either remains untranslated or retains the same value ('page') in all languages.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also advise checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am trying to set up a Persian site using WPML, but the Elementor is not loading on the Persian site, and I can't edit the pages with Elementor. Additionally, there are some widgets in Elementor whose texts are not available in the WPML dashboard for translation.

Here is a screenshot of the widgets that I cannot translate: hidden link.

Symptoms:
Elementor is not loading on the Persian site, and I can't edit the pages with Elementor. Some widgets in Elementor have texts that are not available in the WPML dashboard for translation.

Questions:
Why is Elementor not loading on the Persian site?
How can I translate the texts of the widgets in Elementor that are not available in the WPML dashboard?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support.

Regarding Elementor compatibility issue, there shouldn't be any problem when working with other languages. However, I suspect a conflict here (i.e. from a plugin or theme).

Can you please try the following?

1) Take a full backup of your site and database before proceeding.
2) Deactivate all plugins except WPML, String Translation and Elementor.
3) Switch to a standard theme like 2024.
4) Check for the issue if it still happens.
5) Then start activating plugins one by one while keep checking for the issue. This way you 'll be able to pinpoint a conflict when & where it starts creating the problem.
6) If after activating all plugins you see that it still works fine, then switch to your theme and see if that's causing it.

For your other query about "translate the texts of the widgets in Elementor", looks like you need to register those widgets with WPML, so their content can be recognized and then be available for translation. This is a common case among page builders and isn't an issue, because there are always new updates and new widgets coming along. I'll request to check this guide https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/how-to-register-page-builder-widgets-for-translation/ and follow along.

Please note that as per our support policy we can only handle one issue per session. If you need more help regarding those widgets translation, please feel free to open a new chat or ticket.

For the Farsi vs Elementor vs WPML, please let me know after trying the above mentioned and I'll try my best to help you more on it.

Regards.

Hi Waqas,

I’ve registered the new widgets, and I’m now able to translate them—thanks for that.

However, Elementor is still not loading on the Farsi website. I tried the workaround you suggested, but it didn’t resolve the issue.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards.

Thank you for the updates.

I need to take a closer look at your site. So I request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP), preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Your next answer will be private, to share this information safely.

Also provide detailed steps to reproduce the issue and links to pages in the admin and on the frontend.

IMPORTANT: Please take a complete backup of the site to avoid data loss. I may need to activate/deactivate plugins also.

See https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/ for details on privacy and security.

Thank you for the access, I was able to login and observe the issue.

It only happens with Farsi language, while other such languages (i.e. Arabic, Urdu) are working fine. There are a few JS errors in console, when trying to load the editor in Farsi.

I've tried some troubleshooting options (WPML's and Elementor's) without any luck. However, so far if I can only load the editor in the safe mode.

I'm working on it and 'll try to reproduce it in a separate fresh environment, to eliminate any chances of DB corruption or previous changes in the system.

This may take some time, however, I'll keep you posted about the progress.

Your patience and cooperation is highly appreciated.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

I've tried to reproduce the issue in a fresh installation at hidden link (one-click login) without any luck. Here it is working just fine.

Looks like the issue is only happening in your site. So I'll request the following:

1) Please try to reproduce the issue in the above mentioned sandbox site. If you're able to reproduce the problem, please note down the exact steps and share with me.

2) Only, if you couldn't reproduce in #1, please refresh your staging site because I've done a lot of changes in there (i.e. removing templates, changing themes and etc). So I can then clone your test site in our Cloudways server and escalate to our team for further investigation.

Please let me know and I'll proceed further accordingly.

Hi Waqas,

Thank you for all your hard work and efforts in resolving this issue.

I wanted to inform you that we’ve promised our clients to deliver their website by October 15. I was hoping the issue would be resolved today so I could translate the remaining pages tomorrow and ensure the project is delivered on time.

I know you’re already doing your best, but may I ask if you can put in even more effort to help us meet our deadline?

Thanks so much for your understanding.

Best regards.

Thanks, Waqas.

Please note that we are preparing to submit the site to our client for review. If you could continue debugging on your server after cloning it and keep our site untouched, that would be greatly appreciated.

Best.

Sure, please feel free to use your test site. I'll only need to add a plugin from Cloudways and initiate migration. This happens silently and 'll not affect any of your operations.

For the time being, there's some technical issue with our CW servers. I've reported to CW support and awaiting their response. I'll proceed as soon as it is fixed and 'll update you.

Please accept our apologies for this unexpected delay.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Looks like that CW matter will take some time, so I need to produce a package of your site, using Duplicator plugin.

Is it OK for you, if I install the said plugin, create the package and download to test on my local?
