Hello

I¨ve been going throught my tickets that are still open and I retried the steps on your site since the upgrade to 4.3.10 to reproduce the issue at hand. I am unable to reproduce this behaviour.

Can you try on your end. Is this now resolved?

Here are the steps that I executed:
- Create a new post in DE and assign a category that has been translated . (e.g. Spielfilm / Feature Film)
- Translate the new post
- Check the All Posts listing in EN, check if the translation has been assigned the DE category instead of the translated category!
- When you open the EN post for editing, check if the categories will be blanked as there are no EN categories assigned.

Thanks

Hello Yvette,

thanks for looking again into this. I saw that you created a new post and tried if the error still persists.

I tried myself - and in the first round, it didn't. I related the two categories "News" and Spielfilm" in German and they translated perfectly to "News" and "Feature film" in the English version of the post. When updated the translation, the categories were still in the English version.
Then I added some text in the German version using WP Bakery Page Builder and translated this text in the English version using WPML. When I clicked "Safe and close" the categories in the English version of the post were gone.
So it looks like some incompatibility with WP Bakery Page Builder and I'm not sure on which end the problem lies. You can try for yourself.

Best regards

Werner

Yes - you are right and curiously, when I try it again, it does not even work on the first time. I will communicate back to 2nd tier this.

Hello again.

I´ve retested the flow with Visual Composer and this seems to work now. Can you try this? In both cases I am no longer able to replicate the issue.

THanks

Hello Yvette,
thanks for looking into this issue again. I tried it myself and unfortunately I can't confirm, that the issue is gone. I'm running into the same bug again. To show you, I made you a screen recording of my workflow:
