I have the following problem. I have an English site that is translated to Italian too. So, if I have a page in English whose URL is hidden link, the Italian page will be at URL hidden link.
The page hidden link is made by Elementor and one of the blocks contains a short-code as [game url=games/play], which generates an 'iframe' whose 'src' is https:/ /www.mysite.net/games/play/index.html. It is a complete game in English that also includes multimedia material.
The page hidden link is the page translated from English but, instead of using the advanced WPML editor, I use the WordPress editor, or rather, I use Elementor, to create an Italian page with short-code [game url=games/gioca]. This is because the game in Italian is completely different and its multimedia material in Italian. So the 'src' of the 'iframe' is hidden link.
Unfortunately WPML transforms it into hidden link and obviously WordPress can't find it. How can I avoid that behavior?
1.- Please describe step-by-step how to reproduce the issue on the site and how to edit the shortcode.
2.- I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
Our Debugging Procedures
I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to back up the site before providing us access. If we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.
