Hello,

We created a multi language website for Pearl Capital. The default language is Dutch and the URL is: hidden link
We also translated the website for Belgium customers and this is the URL for Belgium: hidden link

So we have chosen for a different domain per language.

Everything is working fine and translated except the footer and the header are translated but they are both not shown. As you can see in the screenshot the Footer is translated. But when I visit the Belgian website it's still Dutch (the address should be different).

I hope you can help me with this issue.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. After translating the Elementor header/footer templates, could you please try to follow the step-by-step instructions from this doc: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/how-to-translate-theme-options/ and see if this resolves your issue.

If the issue persists, please try the below steps:

1. Please take a backup of your site first for safety

2. We have recently released WPML 4.6.8, could you please take a backup of your site and update it to the latest version and see if this resolves your issue.

You can update it from Plugins >> Add New page, click the Commercial tab, and then click the “Check for updates” button. Here is the screenshot for more details:
https://wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/wpml-force-plugin-update-1.png

3. Please make sure you are using the latest version of Pearl Capital theme on your site.

4. If the above steps don’t help, please provide temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP Login info) to your site (preferably staging site), so that I can look into your setup and debug the issue.

Your next answer will be private which means only you and I have access to it.

=== Please backup your database and website ===

✙ I would additionally need your permission to deactivate and reactivate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is really important.

Thank you

Hi Noman,

Thank you for your reply, after adding the WPML String Translation it is working. Don't have to make any changes anymore. Did not know that that plugin was mandatory to make this work.

Thanks a lot!
