Tell us what you are trying to do?

I'm trying to activate the OTGS installer. But it is not activating on my site. Also I dont understand how to translate posts using your plugin. I also want to use Google Translator for automatic translation. Is that possible?

Is there any documentation that you are following?
I tried your documents. But they are confusing. I want to use the automatic translation for my plan. How to do it?

Is there a similar example that we can see?
For example, I want to convert hidden link this to hindi and tamil. How to do it?

What is the link to your site?

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand what you're looking for and will try my best to clarify the process for you.

The OTGS Installer plugin simplifies the installation and activation of the WPML plugin and its addons. With this plugin enabled, you no longer have to manually download WPML plugin or its components from your WPML.ORG account and install them one by one on your site; you can handle everything directly through the OTGS Installer.

However, if you're encountering issues with activating the plugin, you can alternatively download the WPML and String Translation plugins directly from your WPML.ORG account (https://wpml.org/account/downloads → click the "Download WPML manually" link to access the plugins). Then, simply install and activate them on your site.

After activating the plugin, you'll need to generate a site key from your WPML.ORG account and use that key to activate WPML on your site. For guidance on this process, please refer to this guide: [How to install WPML](https://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/#first-install).

Once the key is activated, the next step is to allocate Automatic Translation credits to your site. These credits are necessary for using the Automatic Translation feature. For details on how to assign Translation credits from your WPML.ORG account to your site, please see this guide: [Assigning Automatic Translation Credits](https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/how-to-assign-automatic-translation-credits-to-your-sites/#assign-automatic-translation-credits).

With the credits assigned, you can then activate Automatic Translation on your site. Navigate to WPML > Settings, and under the Translation Mode option, click on "Change mode". Select "Translate Everything Automatically" and save your changes. This will enable automatic translation across your site. For a better understanding of the process, please check this guide: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/

If you prefer to use Google Translator as your Automatic Translation engine, you can easily switch to it. For instructions on how to change between different translation engines, please refer to this guide: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/how-to-change-automatic-translation-engines/

Given that you have a good amount of credits in your WPML.ORG account, once you assign these credits to your site, the Automatic Translation feature will start translating all the content on your site automatically.

I hope the information above will help. Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance or clarification regarding activating the Automatic translation. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hello.

I would like to know 2 things.

1. For usage of Google Translator do I need to buy the credits. Since Google Translator is free why should I buy credits.
2. In Google translate Telugu translation is possible , is it possible with your plugin and using google translate engine.
3. Also where will be the translated posts saved. In the cloud or in the database.

Thanks.

Hi There,

I understand your concern and would be happy to clarify things for you.

1) Purchasing Credits: Although Google Translate offers a free service for casual use through its website and apps, the Google Translate API, which is used for integrating translation capabilities into other services like WPML, is not free. WPML uses this API to provide automatic translations, which is why you need to buy credits. These credits cover the cost of using Google's Translation API.

2) Telugu Translation: Yes, Telugu translation is possible with WPML when using the Google Translate engine. Google Translate supports Telugu, and WPML leverages Google's capabilities, so you should be able to translate content into Telugu using WPML with the Google translation engine.

3) Storage of Translated Posts: The translated content is stored in your website’s database, not in the cloud. This means that all translations are saved locally on your site’s database, allowing you full control over your translated data.

I hope the information provided clears up your questions. If you need any more details or assistance, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm here to help!

Best regards,
Prosenjit
