Tell us what you are trying to do. Translate from English to French and not screw up the Elementor interface. French takes a lot more room than English. I never know what character size to use when creating pages in English.

Is there any documentation that you are following? No

Is there a similar example that we can see? No

What is the link to your site?

Hi there,

Thanks for contacting WPML support.

Please try duplicating the page first before translating it. You can refer to the instructions here https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/displaying-untranslated-content-on-pages-in-secondary-languages/#duplicating-content on how to duplicate translations.

Using this method will allow you to copy the options into the translated page, preventing the issue you're encountering.

Could you give this a try and see if it helps?

Thanks!

Sorry for the delay in responding. My laptop died on me, and I had to purchase a new one, and relearn how to walk again, so to speak. I acquired a Mac, for the first time.

The solution brought forward does absolutely nothing to resolve my issue.

When I create my ENGLISH website pages using WordPress with Elementor Page Builder, I tend to use the largest text font sizes to make things look good. But, after translating the pages into French via WPML, many of the pages headings and sub-headings don't fit the allocated space, breaking up into two lines.

Hope it is clearer! Is there a solution for this?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply.

I would need to take a closer look at your site. So I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed

IMPORTANT: Please, note, a backup is required for security reasons, and to avoid any data loss, you can use the https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/plugin for these backup needs.

Your following answer will be private, which means only you and I have access to it.

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site if required. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

Thanks!

Kor
