This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is unable to update WPML plugins because the site registration is not valid. The client attempted to register the HTTPS version of the site but received an error message indicating the site is already registered.
Solution:
If you're experiencing an issue with site registration and plugin updates, we recommend the following steps:
1. Ensure you have a full backup of your site.
2. Visit your WPML account page and delete the key for the site.
3. In your WordPress admin area, navigate to Plugins -> Add New -> Commercial tab.
4. Click on "Unregister WPML from this site".
5. Refresh the page.
6. Click on "Get a key for this site" and copy the newly generated code.
7. Go back to WP-Admin -> Plugins -> Add New -> Commercial tab.
8. Register the site with the new key.
If the solution provided here does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
