After confirming the WPML fixes didn't do any harm on the staging, we implemented the fixes just now into mvgm.com. But we see empty pages the first 1 to 3 seconds after loading the website. I hope we can continu where we left of and debug this issue now.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support.

Can you please explain the issue in little more detail? I checked the website frontend and could browse the pages without noting the said issue. Perhaps I may have missed a point here.

A screen recording, some screenshots and/or URLs to specific pages where the issue can be observed clearly, 'll be helpful.

Besides this, I'll also advise to update all WPML plugins to latest versions. You can try this by going to Plugins -> Add New -> Commercial -> Check for updates or manually downloading from https://wpml.org/account/downloads/ and uploading via Plugins -> Add New -> Upload.

IMPORTANT: Please take full backup of your website and database beforehand.

Also remember to update other plugins and themes to their latest versions.

Regards.

Hi Waqas,

I find that the website is better now! Sorry for the assistance.
Beside this I have 1 more question = I implemented the code changes (the code you provide in the last ticket), but will an update unset these changes?

Hi,

Thank you for confirming that and no problem at all. Feel free to open a new ticket for anything relating WPML.

As of the other question, yes, the code implemented in plugin file(s) may get overwritten with a future update. So its better to take a backup before updating to a new version, as well as, keep a note of the changes. Some times a fix may take long to role out so until then you may have to apply the custom solution again (after updating to a new version).

The changes related to database like mentioned in https://wpml.org/forums/topic/really-slow-back-end-issue-wpml-9-languages-string-translation-plugin/page/2/#post-13151929, shouldn't be affected.

Regards.
