This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is attempting to translate media on their WordPress site using WPML but encounters issues because the media is not translated. The Houzez Theme used by the client is currently not marked as compatible with WPML, which complicates the translation process.
Solution:
1. To translate media elements, follow the steps in our official documentation: WPML Media Translation Guide.
2. Meta information for images (like alt and caption) will only be translated automatically if they are used on a page or post that is translated using the WPML Translation Editor. However, since the Houzez Theme is not compatible, we recommend translating this information manually within the media library or using WPML > Media Translation.
3. For images used as a background in page builders like Elementor, ensure they are part of the content to be translatable automatically. If the image is added as a style setting (e.g., background-image), it will not be translated automatically.
4. If encountering issues with theme compatibility, inform the Houzez Support about the issues between Houzez and WPML for further assistance.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Thank you for this reply. A pointless reply. Please check this ticket.

The ticket has been open for weeks and he can't get it in. I'm getting a bit annoyed with the support here!

The gentleman said I should open separate tickets for all problems. Please speak to him because I have no desire to discuss everything again.

Please contact this person. I would have to open a ticket for all issues, even though the ticket has been open for weeks and nothing has been resolved. I don't want to repeat the same thing 100 times.

5 tickets, 5 different people. That's a bit too much; I don't have time for this.

This is ticket number #17070411

Hi,
I understand your concern, and I will contact my colleague, but I need the ticket URL, not the ID.

Can you share the ticket URL? Is this one: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/wenn-ich-anderungen-an-der-primaren-sprache-vornehmen-werden-diese-nicht-ubernommen-an-den-uber/

Please proceed your communication on our ticket here:
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/split-bilder-werden-nicht-ubersetzt/

I will be glad to assist you, but you need to provide an example of media that is not showing up in the second language or is not getting translated as expected.

A link to the page where the issue can be seen would be sufficient.

Please mark this ticket as resolved to avoid duplicate ticket handling.

Which media do you need? None of the media is translated. You know that, too, it's nothing new!

Go to the media and pick one.

Do I have to say the same thing?

Large selection of media, choose the one you like hidden link

Does that look like German to you? I don't think so!

Take kindly note that I am closing this ticket to avoid duplicate ticket handling:

Let's proceed here on this ticket with your concerns about media translation.

About the media:

The meta information for images, like alt and caption, will only be translated automatically if used on a specific page or post that is translated with the WPML Translation Editor.

As I explained earlier on our tickets:
The Houzez Theme is currently not marked as compatible, and we can currently not recommend translating it with the WPML Translation Editor or by using automatic translation.

As an alternative, you can translate this information manually inside the media library or by using WPML > Media Translation.

---

About the image in the top section of the homepage:

This image was used as a Container's background in Elementor and can not be translated this way as it is added as a style setting. It needs to be part of the content to be translatable automatically.

Here is the original HTML element holding this image, and as you can see, it does not include any alt or caption. Instead, the image is loaded as style="background-image":

<div class="elementor-background-slideshow__slide__image elementor-ken-burns elementor-ken-burns--in" style="background-image: url("hidden link");"></div>

If you add the image to a post's content using an Image Widget and translate the post automatically, you should be able to achieve an automatic translation of this metainformation.

---

There are many different use cases for media where I currently do not see a translation and will take me time to investigate them.

I took another look at your site, but I can not find another example.

If you have another example, please name the file and the link to the original content on which the media is used.

Where are all my tickets? Is the translation working on the website?

Who gives you permission to sell tickets without success?

An overview of your tickets can be found here:
https://wpml.org/forums/users/homep/

I am really sorry to inform you that I have nothing else to add to this ticket. I can not take further steps in solving the issue between Houzez and WPML as our compatilbity team has marked the theme as incompatible.

As an alternative, you can translate this information manually inside the media library or by using WPML > Media Translation.

The compatilbity team asked me to tell you that you should inform the Houzez Support about any issues between Houzez and WPML.
