[Closed] page redirection not working

We need to setup redirection for various url on different language websites.

However, the redirection setup is applied to all language websites.

eg:-

/abc -> abc-en.com/xyz

we want to achieve the above redirection only for abc-en.com/abc -> abc-en.com/xyz

However, abc-ru.com/abc is also getting redirected to abc-en.com/xyz

We tried both Redirection & 301 Redirection plugins. Both don't seem to work on multilingual websites although your website says redirection plugin is compatible with WPML.

Please help.

Thanks for contacting WPML support.

It looks like you're using "different domain per language" https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-url-options/how-to-use-wpml-with-different-domains-per-language/ .

Could you please try logging in to abc-ru.com and then adjust the redirection from there and see if it works?

If the issue persists, I would need to take a closer look at your site. So I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed

IMPORTANT: Please, note, a backup is required for security reasons, and to avoid any data loss, you can use the https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/plugin for these backup needs.

Your following answer will be private, which means only you and I have access to it.

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site if required. This is also a reason the backup is critical.
