This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client reported that property listings were not appearing on the homepage or any other pages after translation. The featured properties were supposed to display in the website's header as a hero slider, but they were not showing up in the Arabic version.

Solution:
1) We identified that the URLs for the properties were translated before the URL settings were encoded. We edited the URL of the Arabic page to correct this.

2) We asked the client how they were setting the slider in the default language homepage and selecting what to show in the slider, to understand the setup better.

3) For taxonomy images, we set the custom field

fave_taxonomy_img

to copy from WPML > Settings > Custom Term Meta Translation. The client needed to resave the default language taxonomy for it to be saved/synced for translation. We performed a bulk update for the City images in Arabic to ensure they were synced.

If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or not applicable to your case, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Hi Drazen,

To set a property in the slider, I simply edit a property and select the following option (screenshot attached), I tried to do the same with the one that you fixed for me, I edited it, set this in slider and its working now.

I still dont understand how you changed the arabic URL to english. Please explain in steps, in detail. Thank you

Also, I did not understand you point: > You will need to resave, default language taxonomy for it to be saved/synced for translation. Please do this for us, I do not want to waste any credits in my ignorance.

Please explain more in detail or share a screenshot.

Best Regards,

Hello,

thanks for getting back.

1) Great, glad to hear it is working now.

2) I have gone to AR page on frontend, and in the top bar clicked edit the page. This opens AR page in backend, from right side you can change URL/slug of page how you wish. hidden link

3) It will not waste any credits, basically you need to save taxonomy for image to be synced now. I did it for you, I went to City > Select all in Arabic > Bulk action > update. All of your new City images will be automatically synced when you create a category.

Regards,
Drazen

Hi Drazen,

Thank you for your help. A few things that needs attention. How can we translate the Featured fields headings: handover, property type, price, etc. (screen the screenshot attached)

Secondly you will note that in the footer, the phone number is not written in its correct format. Instead it has started from right to left and changed the entire structure of it. Can you please change this, I hope we are progressing.

Please help us with these changes.

Thank you

Hello,

Thanks for getting back.

1) I have opened a new ticket and will check this out and update you there:

2) It is how theme loads style for the Arabic language, not much related to WPML, it would happen if website is in Arabic without WPML.If you try to add number in regular direction it still shows wrongly due to theme style etc. hidden link

It's best to check with theme support if there is any specific workaround for this, or if not, you can apply custom CSS code for this part only.

Drazen
