[Resolved] Text written in my front-end page builder does not get recognized.
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is trying to translate their website into German, French, and English using WPML and the BeTheme BeBuilder. While menus, contact forms, and services are being translated, the content created through the front-end page builder, such as headings and text blocks, is not. The Translation Editor only shows the menu bar and global footer template, not the content made with the front-end builder.
Solution: 1. Navigate to WPML > Settings > Custom Fields Translation and set
mfn-page-items
as Translatable. 2. Make a minor update to the original content and save it. 3. Review the content in the Translation Editor to ensure it is now appearing.
Tell us what you are trying to do?
I'm trying to translate my website to 3 different languages. Original language is Dutch, translations need to be: German, French and English.
Is there any documentation that you are following?
I followed all the WPML documentation and stept and the BeTheme documentation.
What is the issue?
All content is being translated: menu, contact form, services (loaded dynamicly into the page) but all the text I've created through the front-end page builder is not being translated. Like headings, textblocks etc. I'm using the BeTheme BeBuilder, all updated to the latest version. Also checked if my memory limit is more than recommended. Strange thing is: when I order WPML to translate the whole homepage and I need te review it, it only shows the menu bar and global footer template. All the content I've made with the front-end builder as a "page" does not show up. So for some reason it looks like WPML does not see my "pages".
Thank you for reaching out to WPML support. I am eager to assist you with your current problem.
In case you're utilizing the Muffin builder, it's important to verify its compatibility with WPML Advanced Translation Editor. For more details, please refer to our documentation at WPML's guide on theme compatibility.
Thank you for your reply. I've already read that documentation and it is correct that I've built the page before installing WPML and changing the setting to "Serialized | Readable format, required by some plugins". After installing WPML and changing the advanced setting I've made a modification to the page (changing the title and changing a header field), updated the page, and refreshed te translation through the WPML -> Translation Management menu. At translation management I've selected the page, checked automatic translation and clicked begin translating. But nothing changes. Then again I get to preview the changes at that page, but the only parts I see when reviewing the translation is my header and my global footer, but not the page inbetween those global parts.
Thank you for sharing. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated.
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.
IMPORTANT
- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:

Due to the weekend and our working hours, it's possible that we'll get to a solution on Monday.
Thank you for sharing the access. After analyzing your website locally, I was able to identify what was causing your issue.
1. Please go to WPML > Settings > Custom Fields Translation and set "mfn-page-items" as Translatable.
2. Make a small update on your original content and save
3. Check your content on the Translation Editor
