WPML Export Import: Unique Identifier for WooCommerce
I try to import a translation for a product. the default language is german. when I import the french translation the product gets completely overwritten with the french version.
How can I import a translation without using the SKU number as a unique identifier?
I still have the same problem.
1. I can import the default language german. With the built in WooCommerce product Import.
2. And after I import the secondary language in french. But I can not import the SKU or ID number, coz otherwise is overwritten. Without the SKU und ID number I can install it. And the product shows in German and French, except the SKU-Number.
I could import both languages as described in the article which you send me.
But the translation problem still exist:
1. The first language product import in german was imported successfully but has now translation. Meaning the translation to french has to still be made manually and is not connected to the french product.
2. The import for secondary language product did work and I can see also an translation in german. Thats really strange, somehow here the import and translation are connected. What is here the issue? See also the screenshots..
I could now import one product in german (default) and french on the sandbox: hidden link
somehow it worked, but I dont see the translation icon where i can switch in the product to the french translation. I only can switch when I change the language in the topbar.
Whoever when I go to the WooCommerce Multilingual I see no translation in french? Whats wrong here? Can it be that the taxonomies are not working?
Can you please check my import. I also can send you my csv-files.
Because the original translations were created by a different translation method (import in our case), they are not saved in a translation memory that the Advanced Translation Editor can use. So if you want to modify such translations you need to switch to manual.
