[Resolved] The translation Elementor popup is not populated correctly for the English translation
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is experiencing an issue where an Elementor popup is not displaying the correct layout in the English translation, despite following forum instructions and setting the custom fields for
Next, we re-translated the page "Teenused" using the Advanced Translation Editor. We searched for the popup post ID, added the translation popup ID to the translation content, and saved the changes. This resolved the layout issue for the popup.
Additionally, we provided a screen recording of the steps taken to fix a similar issue with a button in the header on another page. The steps included editing the template or page, making a small change, saving it, updating the translation, searching for the popup ID in the Advanced Translation Editor, translating the ID, and completing the translation.
If this solution does not seem relevant to your issue, please feel free to open a new support ticket with us.

Tell us what you are trying to do?
I have translated an Elementor popup, but the layout is unfortunately not populated correctly for the English translation.
What I am seeing in the translated popup (image 1). What I would like to see is the same layout as in the Estonian version (image 2).
Is there any documentation that you are following?
Per your forum's instructions, I have edited the translated popup template using Elementor and updated it to, also cleared the cache.
In the WPML settings, the custom fields for the elementor_popup_display_settings have been set to Copy.
On a previous, similar occasion, your team helped to resolve the issue with custom XML: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/the-elementor-popup-layout-isnt-populated-correctly-for-the-translation/. Unfortunately, I don’t know how to replicate this.
On the front page, the popup opens after you have scrolled down to the bottom of the page. On the Services page, the popup opens when you click the button Rent a bus.
What is the link to your site?
It is a production site on my Local environment.
Here is the forum ticket. Please share the site credentials (wp-admin and FTP) in your next reply which is set to private to share the info.
❌ IMPORTANT: Please backup your database and website before proceeding ❌
You can use this plugin to create the backup: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme to change configurations on the site if needed. This is also a reason the backup is critical.
I've tried some troubleshooting steps but do not see it working on your site. Can you please help me replicate the issue on a clean installation of WordPress? You can login directly with this link: hidden link
Kindly follow the steps below:
- Don’t restore your site there.
- Install Elementor, Elementor Pro plugins.
- Try to replicate the issue with minimal steps.
- Then let me know the steps to replicate it.
Hi!
I'm sorry, but what have you now done to the website translations? Please check for yourself. In English, instead of showing the English translation, the website shows Estonian text on a translation URL. And the popup design is still off in the translation.
Look at the page Teenused (Services), for example. In Estonian it is fine: hidden link and the popup works (it is opened from the button TELLIGE BUSS). In English, the URL is hidden link but all the text is in Estonian and the popup design, although showing Estonian text, is scrambled.
Please fix this.
Then I re-translate the page "Teenused" > in Advanced Translation Editor > I search for the popup post ID > Add the translation popup ID to the translation content and Save.
Now you can see it works properly, screenshots attached.
But how can I replicate the solution for all the pages - the same button is in the header of the whole site, on the About U page, and the 3 bus category pages (hidden link etc.)?
I made a screen record of steps I did to fix the issue with the button in the header and the same steps on the page hidden link
Here is the URL hidden link
The workflow is:
- Edit the template or the page > Make a small change to the title/content > Save.
- Update the translation > In Advanced Translation Editor > Search for the popup ID > Translate the ID > Complete.
