This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are experiencing issues with translated portfolio pages on your website, where photos disappear, and the arrangement shows incorrect language text. This problem started after recent edits to the portfolios. This configuration should help in translating the subtitle and other text elements correctly. If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems persist, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Thanks for your reply. You'll need to check with your theme author if it breaks any features from the theme. But if you're referring to WPML, all settings should be there even after switching to Child Theme.
Thanks for your reply. I've added the missing custom XML configuration and you should be able to translate the subtitle now as shown in the attached screenshot.
1. I've translated this page six times now and it breaks again and again. Because there are different images in the translation, I use Word Press Editor. I switch to BG Word Press Editor => switch to EN => make the necessary corrections in the editor and save. After some time it breaks.
