Problem:
The client is running a WooCommerce shop with thousands of products and dozens of attributes, and after installing WPML, the products do not appear in the shop unless they are translated. The client is looking for a way to mark products as translated without having to go through each one individually.
Solution:
If you're experiencing an issue where your products are not appearing in your shop because they are not translated, and you want to focus on translating attributes while leaving product information like titles and descriptions for later, we recommend duplicating your products in the secondary language. This will allow your products to appear in the shop and enable you to translate them fully at a later time. Hi,

I'm running a WC shop with thousands of products, and dozens of attributes, and installed WPML.

The products do not appear in the shop unless they are translated.

The question is: how do I mark them as translated? I can't go one by one over 5k products to do it. I also have more than 10k upcoming.

For me, it's enough that attributes are translated and users can search for products using attributes.

Product information (title, description) is not that important. However, at some point in the future, I would like to also translate the descriptions. But not now.

thanks for contacting us.

If you just want to translate the attributes, the best solution is to duplicate your products in the second language. That way, you'll also be able to translate them later on.

Hi Laura,

thank you for the prompt reply.

Can you please confirm/correct the following statement: Product stock and price is managed via it's main language product. No need to update it separately if product is duplicated or translated.

Since I have quite a lot of products, I track stock and prices via CSV files.

Yes, it's correct. Stock actually must be the same, you can't have different stock in different languages since the product is the same.

Prices are copied (or converted, if you're using different currencies) automatically. The only case you'd need to update price manually is when you use custom prices https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/multi-currency-support-woocommerce/#configure-custom-prices-for-different-currencies
