Dear WPML Support, I hope this message finds you well. Tell us what you are trying to do? Is there any documentation that you are following? Is there a similar example that we can see? What is the link to your site? We are currently experiencing an issue with translation access on our site. While our admin-level users can translate without any issues, the rest of our translators are redirected to the translation queue rather than being able to translate directly. We've reviewed our user settings and permissions, but we haven't found any discrepancies that might be causing this issue. I have attached a screenshot of the debug error that occurs in the Advanced Translation Editor hidden link. We would appreciate some guidance on resolving this issue. Is there a setting we need to adjust to allow our translators to access the Advanced Translation Editor directly without being redirected? Thank you in advance for your assistance. We look forward to your response. Similar problem to the one mentioned in: https://wpml.org/es/forums/topic/no-puedo-traducir-se-quedan-las-traducciones-en-cola-y-hace-la-traduccion/ Best regards, Íñigo Cuervo |

Hi there, Thank you for reaching out to WPML support. I have reviewed your query, and it appears that the current behavior is intentional for non-admin translations. In the Translation Management process, Translation Managers or Admins are responsible for assigning translations to non-admin translators. You can find detailed information about this process in the following link: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/ After the assignments are made, non-admin translators can access the "Translation Queue" to check for the translations they have been assigned. This process remains unchanged unless you designate them as Translation Managers. |

I have changed a test user to a translator manager and it still cannot translate if it does not have the assigned jobs. Is it the expected behavior? |

Thanks for your reply. I've tested it on our sandbox site and it works. You can try logging in here as a Translation Manager hidden link To log in as admin, you can use this link hidden link Using the Translation Manager account, I could translate pages directly here without being assigned hidden link Did you assign the correct language here? hidden link |

Thank you for the suggestions and preparing the test environment. In the sandbox with the account that you have created for me I can. But in my installation it won't let me. Could it be some adjustment? Did you assign the correct language here? |

Thanks for your reply. I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified. Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements. Your forthcoming response will remain confidential, accessible only to you and me. ✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup. |
