This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're experiencing issues updating the "WPML String Translation" plugin and receive an "Update failed: undefined" error, follow these steps to resolve the issue.
Solution:
1. In your site's dashboard, navigate to Plugins -> Add New -> Commercial tab.
2. Unregister WPML from your site.
3. Log in to your new account.
4. Visit Account -> Sites and remove your site using the trash icon.
5. Return to Plugins -> Add New -> Commercial tab and register WPML for your site again.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
Hi, I try to update my plugins. I cannot update this: "Select WPML Multilingual CMS". I get message "Update failed: undefined" and I also get this: WPML plugin cannot connect to wpml.org. The site I need help with is hidden link.

Symptoms:
Update failed: undefined and WPML plugin cannot connect to wpml.org

Questions:
Why am I getting the message 'Update failed: undefined' when trying to update WPML Multilingual CMS?
Why can't the WPML plugin connect to wpml.org?

Thank you for contacting WPML support. While you are waiting for one of my colleagues to take this ticket and work on it, let me provide you with the first debugging steps and try to help with the issue quickly.

Please try next:

1- In your site's dashboard, go to Plugins-> Add New-> Commercial tab
2- Unregister WPML from the site
3- Log in to the "new" account
4- Go to Account-> Sites (https://wpml.org/account/sites/)
5- Remove your site, trash icon
6 - Go to Plugins-> Add New-> Commercial tab, Register WPML from the site
