Hi,

When I go to "Woocommerce > settings > advanced" I can choose which cart page, checkout page, account page, and terms & conditions page the system should use.

A couple of weeks ago (before an update, I don't know which one), it worked like this:
I click on the English flag to set the English site and I choose for the English pages.
I click on the Dutch flag to set the Dutch site and I chose for the Dutch pages.
I click on the French flag... etc.
So each site has the correct translated version of the cart page, checkout page, my account page and terms & conditions page.

Now this does not work anymore:

When I am on the Dutch version I choose for the dutch pages. So 'my account' is 'mijn account' in Dutch. But now these dutch pages appear on all the other sites as well. So when I go to the English version, the Dutch pages appear instead of the English pages.

How can I solve this?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,

thanks for contacting us.

You should not be changing the language from the top bar and setting different options in a different language like that, if not explicitly suggested in our docs. It is not the correct approach.

As for store pages, you should set them in the default language and then go to Pages > All and translate them. Make sure the pencil icon is showing.

After that is should work fine in the frontend.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi Drazen,

Unfortunately that does not work. The Dutch url's (Dutch = default language) are still shown in the frontend. See screen shots.

Lobke

Hello Lobke,

thanks for getting back.

Oaky, but this part with the menu is not related to the translation of pages. If they are translated correctly, you need to adjust the links in the translated menu, since this is probably how you translated the original default language.

I suggest you check your default language menu, in this case, mobile menu, and adjust translated menu links to the correct one.

If you are created it from the default WordPress menu, you can follow the next guide:

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
Drazen

Hi Drazen,

I do have one mobile menu, see attachment.
This menu is translated correctly and appears well on all my mobile sites.

However this '/my-account/' link or the link in the pop-up bar '/terms-and-conditions/' appears in dutch on all my sites.

I used to control these translations via woocommerce -> settings -> advanced -> setup page

On my beta environment of heatperformance.nl this is the way it still works. But on my life site it does not work this way anymore (due to updates and I don't know which one).

Thanks again for your help.

Best regards,

Lobke Buijs

Hello Lobke,

thanks for getting back.

I believe there is probably the somewhere specific option for this icon URL, that you still need to translate.

For example, is there a way you can manually change this URL to some else if you wish? Or connect to some other page? I do not mean from WooCommerce settings.

Also, can you check if you haven't set it from the theme options, since I think there you can set it for different languages and different link/page by using the language swticher on top.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
Drazen
