[Resolved] Why are there so many duplicate media files Is it a real document Will it take up my hard drive
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are experiencing issues with duplicate media files after running a wizard, concerned about hosting storage, database fragmentation, and seeking a way to efficiently translate large amounts of text without incurring high costs. Solution: First, we need to identify the wizard that caused the duplication of images. It's crucial to understand the specific process to address the root cause of the duplication. If the duplication is related to the WPML Media Translation plugin, ensure you are using the latest version of the plugin. For large-scale translations without high costs, consider adjusting the automatic translation settings to better manage your translation points or explore bulk translation options that might be more cost-effective. If manual deletion of duplicate data was performed, verify that this has not affected the integrity of your database.
If this solution does not fully resolve your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If further assistance is needed, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

The installation of the Media Translation plugin has changed That's not doubling the translation time
Is there any way for me to quickly translate on my own? I used automatic translation to deduct all my points. I have too much to translate, and I want to translate quickly, but it's my own translation
Because as shown in the picture, there are 60k characters that I need to translate+
I can't afford this expense, it's too expensive

Hello there!
I'll help you get started while a supporter takes the case.
I see you have a few questions so let's try to answer first one and then pass to the other or the entire thread will become super confusing for both of us
1) What you see with the images being duplicated is not normal and it usually happens when you reset WPML in an improper way or if a plugin is handling images in any way (like optimizing them or something like that). they are NOT real images, they are just a reference to the original image in the database but cleaning that up might not be easy. are all your images like that or just some of them?
2) I understand you want to translate the images on your own, is that correct? if so, as soon as an image is added to content (A page, post, etc), it will appear in the translation editor, so it might be better that you just translate them when you translate your content, It will make the process more fluid and less time consuming but you can always add the images you want to translate to a page and then translate that page, for example, that will also do the trick.
Now, after my reply, is there any doubts or questions on what i mentioned? if so please only reply with the questions you have. if you don't have any more doubts on this then you can let us know what other questions you have and we'll gladly help there.
Yes, some of the images were duplicated after running the wizard
Can I not make the image appear repeatedly like this and also translate the image text
Will this cause my database to become too fragmented?
Thanks for your reply. Yes, these duplicate images will fill up your hosting storage. We need to check what's generating these duplicated images. You mentioned that "the images were duplicated after running the wizard", may I know which wizard did you run?
