Hi there,

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I'm checking on this, and it looks like there is some limitation for the code that I shared earlier.

Could you please share your Website credentials here again or a staging site so that I could consult this with our 2nd Tier Support?

Your next answer will be private, which means only you and I have access to it.

Thanks!

Kor

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply.

I have feedback from our 2nd Tier Support, and could you please share this with your coder to make the necessary adjustments?

the hook suggest doing a page reload: https://wpml.org/wcml-hook/wcml_client_currency/
Further things that seem to me as an issue is accessing directly the session.
Also perhaps if ajax actions were involved, then he should also use https://wpml.org/wcml-hook/wcml_switch_currency/ to ensure that the currency is switched not only for the current request, but for the ajax requests that he is executing in the meantime.

Furthermore, I'd like you to know that custom programming/coding work is beyond the scope of our support.

If you need further assistance with custom coding, you can contact one of our certified partners from this link: http://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-contractors/

Before doing so please have a look also here: http://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-contractors/guidelines-for-people-looking-for-consulting-help/

You will get the custom assistance you need to get on with your project.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks!

tell me if i understand correctly

1. we keep the original snippet
2. we add in any page what written here:
https://wpml.org/wcml-hook/wcml_client_currency/

and amend the code so it gets the currency from the cookie?

- do you think us using this plugin, affected this?

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply.

As per feedback from our 2nd Tier Support, you need to initiate a page reload for this hook https://wpml.org/wcml-hook/wcml_client_currency/

Then, if you're using Ajax on your Website, you need to include this hook https://wpml.org/wcml-hook/wcml_switch_currency/

Please forward the feedback to your coder as they should be able to assist you further with this.

Thanks!

Kor
