Tell us what you are trying to do?
I've changed the "out of stock" label into "sold" with the "Say What plugin".
I tried to translate this label into Dutch via string translation (woocommerce domain and aventa domain), but the "out of stock/sold" label doesn't translate in the frontend.

What is the link to your site?

Hi,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

Please try the following steps to search for the "Sold" string.

1- Go to WPML-> Theme and plugins localization, select your theme/plugin, and scan
2- Go to WPML-> String Translation
3- Scroll down and click on the "Translate texts in admin screens »" link
4- Search for the needed strings
5- Select the strings
6- Click on the "Add to String Translation" button
7- Then click on "the « Return to String Translation" link
8- Translate the strings, clear the cache, and check the front end

Kindly check our guide to learn more about translating texts in the admin text screen. (https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/)

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,

Thanks for your update. I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –
in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

Your next answer will be private, which means only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,

Thanks for the access details. It seems like a compatibility issue, so please login to this sandbox site and upload the "Say What?" plugin. (hidden link)

After that, please try to replicate the issue by creating a new string for the "Out Of Stock" string. If the issue is replicable, please let me know how to reproduce it to consult our compatibility team.

Best regards,
Osama

I followed instructions, but "sold" can't still be found in admin text strings.

Hi,

Could you please contact the plugin support team and consult them if the replacement string is translate-friendly? Please let us know their findings and if we can help in the case.

Also, It would be great if you could contact the authors and urge them to join our Go Global Program.
You can find details about it here. (https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/)

Best regards,
Osama

They just said the replacement text is not translatable.

Hi,

Thanks for your update. If the replacement text is not implemented to be translatable, WPML won't be able to see it in order to translate it.

Sorry for the inconvenience

Best regards,
Osama
