Excellent I look forward to your resolution.
For clarity..
1. I have confirmed the languages are configured in WPML
2. I also confirmed the languages are configured in Trados / SDL project
3. I validated the API calls and batches are being sent to RWS.
4. I validated the batch jobs are being translated and files are ready for download.
5. It seems the jobs are orphaning in the WPML system and random languages on different batches are simply never downloaded.
6. One job all languages we process & download. The next one, Spanish and Korean wont download. The following it will be 6 languages that wont download. I can send the same file numerous times with different results.
7. Additionally.. the SDL project to use is WordPress-MT Only.

Hope this helps. Our site can not go live until this is resolved so if I could get an estimation on resolution that would be helpful. We already missed our golive date given to our board because of this translation issue, so understanding a timeline will let me know if I should look for other options. THanks.

Hi,

This is Ahmed Ibrahim from the translation proxy team, and I will help you with your issues.

So I just went to your site and visited WPML -> Translation Management, and then clicked on "Check status and get translations" and 11 pages have been downloaded (check the screenshot)

So can you please check if you are still missing any completed pages?

The workflow to download the translations is to click the button "Check status and get translations" every time you have any new completed jobs.

The process of downloading is that once you click the button, WPML will send a request to TP and TP will send a request to the service to get the completed jobs, then TP gets the completed jobs and send them back to WPML.

So it also helps that you go to the jobs tab and click on the sync button beside the job before you click on "check status and get translations" as the sync button will help download the jobs into TP, then when you click on "Check status and get translations" the process will be faster.

So please check and if you find any jobs that are completed on RWS and still missing the translation, please go to the jobs tab, and send me a screenshot of these jobs and I will use their TP-ID and check in our TP server why they are stuck.

Please let me know if that helps.

Best regards,
Ahmed Ibrahim.

There are hundreds of pending jobs still in "in processing" and jobs that won't clear.. it gives an error when attempting to cancel. I just submitted more pages.. validated they were submitted to WPML then onto Trados/SDL which were then downloaded. I have been doing the exact process you just stated for the past several days with the inconsistent results that I mentioned in my last reply.

The languages that fail are random and inconsistent. Sometimes a page will 100% complete and allow me to download files.. other times some languages wont complete other times no languages will complete.

What I am needing is...

#1 All jobs cleared from the queue or the method for me to be able to do it.
#2 A consistent translation workflow so that the submitted pages that are translated with our translations vendor are actually downloaded and applied when we attempt to 'process'. Feel free to submit whatever posts or pages you would like for translation. Please use the WordPress - MT project only.

These pages were sent out hours ago. They are downloaded on the server, but WPML isn't detecting. I have click to update status and attempted to get translations.. neither process. This is the exact behavior we have been seeing. Hopefully this helps get to the root issue.

Hi,

I just sent you a private reply with all the details about what is holding you from downloading the jobs, it is something related to your quota in RWS, and I set it as private because it has some sensitive data, so please check it and let me know if you have any question.

you can check it by clicking on "SHOW PRIVATE MESSAGE"

Best regards,
Ahmed Ibrahim.

I think WPML is hitting a rate limit for the API. Do you know what your agreed rate limit is with the RWS vendor?

Hello Ahmed.. Here is what RWS said about the issue. I will say that I have tried to doing smaller batches and manually checking progress. I am still seeing inconsistencies. Is there any way to apply downloads manually? I could download the files myself from the RWS console, but not sure how to upload them against pages.

Sorry this has taken so long to look into. I was hoping to have better news to share, but so far I have not been able to figure out why you're not able to retrieve the translations.

I searched the logs for this particular project (657b8c5ea278d030ca35b3e1 aka Edg.io-WPML-en-23 - es-ES) which you mentioned, and I could see that on the 15th, the project was (via the API) retrieved and 8 files were send back to WPML. I then saw the API call to complete the project, and this is where a 410 error occurred. Below are the files from this particular project.

It's possible this is where WPML is stalling. Even though the files were retrieved, because of this error, WPML may think that the process was not completed, and keeps trying again, and each time after this, we return a 404 error.

I'm not entirely sure where the fault with this is, but if you could in WPML manually check the status of jobs to see if this shows which jobs are ready to be picked up, and then manually try to retrieve one job, this may be a slower workaround instead of trying to pull everything in a large batch.

Since the files are being trasnslated and are ready for download... What is the process for me manually applying these translation files into the system since the API based method is failing? I could at least get my content translated manually while we wait for the engineers to fix the API issues.

Hi,

I'm happy to inform you that I have downloaded all the translated jobs on your site, when I started, there were about 617 jobs waiting for translation, now 0 are waiting. (check the screenshots)

So please check your pages and let me know if everything is ok.

Best regards,
Ahmed Ibrahim.

Some jobs have been failing tonight with outright CANCELLED again. There is currently 92 pages in the queue still "in process" I am working through the manual get translations to see if that clears them up. If you see anything in the errors that might help please let me know.

#2 - I noticed the default language for a few languages isn't accurate... like korean is ko and japanese is ja. Our APAC market is expecting them to be Korean = kr and Japanese = jp. COuld you let me know how I alter the codes?

Hi,

Related to changing the code, If you are talking about the language code that arrived at the service, I can do some mapping to your current language to change the code that arrives at the service, for example, if you have ko in WPML and want it to be sent to the service as kr, this can be done.

But if you are talking about the language that has been configured in WPML and is shown in the URL, I think this can't be changed but if you need to investigate this more, please open a new support ticket.

Related to the canceled jobs, what was the batch name? do you see any of these jobs in the Jobs tab? if yes please send some screenshots.

If you send these pages again, do they get canceled? if you still can replicate this, please let me know the name of the page that has the issue and I will investigate it and update you.

Best regards,
Ahmed Ibrahim
